COVID Guidelines (Formerly Smart Restart)
This guide was developed to provide parents and staff members a snapshot of what the 2020-2021 school year will look like, while sharing actions that Burnet CISD is taking to mitigate COVID-19 spread. This guide was updated as of December 16, 2020 and replaces the Smart Restart guide. Even as this guide is published, it is subject to change based on guidance or requirements from the Texas Education Agency or the Governor’s Office. As a learning organization, we are committed to being innovative, flexible and agile in meeting all of the needs of our students and staff.As the guidelines for the 2020-2021 school year were being developed, the following commitments were the foundation of our planning.
1. Promote and maintain safe, healthy working and learning environments that mitigate COVID-19 spread.
2.Provide access to quality instruction, no matter what learning environment a parent chooses.
3. Provide clear, concise and ongoing communication to build trust among stakeholders, and to inform them of their roles and responsibilities.
