Burnet CISD recognizes the value and importance of school attendance and looks forward to educating your children during the 2025-2026 school year. Our district team has been working to revise attendance procedures so that communication is increased and assistance is given to any family struggling with chronic absences.
BCISD Monthly Attendance Winners!
RJ Richey Elementary School WON the attendance banner for the HIGHEST attendance rate across the district! The campus had a 95.06% attendance rate for the second six weeks of school. Way to Go, RJ!

At Burnet CISD, we believe every day counts! Regular attendance is the foundation of student success — academically, socially, and emotionally. When students are present and engaged, they build strong learning habits. Students are able to connect with their teachers and classmates, and make the most of every opportunity to grow.
We understand that occasional absences are unavoidable, but we encourage families to make daily attendance a priority. Working together, we can ensure every student develops the consistency and confidence needed to achieve their full potential.
