About Rachel Jones
Dr. Rachel Jones has served public, private, and charter Texas school communities for over two decades in a variety of roles. A graduate of Garland ISD, she deeply believes in the mission of public school districts to educate and provide opportunities to all students of a community.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduate work in Molecular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, Rachel began her education career teaching middle school and high school sciences in 2000. She returned to school and completed a Master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and a Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Arlington in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Rachel has served in a variety of campus- and district-level administrative positions. She is committed to developing teams and building capacity in others through servant leadership. She joined the Burnet CISD team in 2019. 

Rachel lives in Burnet with her family. She has been married to her husband, Brad, since 2000, and they are blessed with two amazing daughters who are Burnet High School graduates. Both girls are continuing their education in college with one studying Cybersecurity and the other majoring in Biology.
