SpringBoard is the College Board's comprehensive instructional program in English, Language Arts, and math for all students in grades 6 - 12. SpringBoard offers research-based instructional strategies and practices that provide a clear road map forward and helps students take ownership of and accountability for their own learning. Our National Faculty members facilitate SpringBoard Professional Learning events during the summertime in over 49 states and 1000+ districts with whom we partner.
After a rigorous application process, Kristi and Kristie were selected to attend our annual National Faculty Institute in Atlanta, March 10-13th. It is significant to note that they were two of twelve candidates selected nationwide to attend this Institute from over 100 qualified applicants. Over the course of this event, we were greatly impressed with their professionalism, expertise and passion to support and develop fellow educators. After successful completion of the Institute, Ms.Carruthers and Ms.Messer were formally invited to join our Faculty. There are a total of 75 members of this impressive cohort, hailing from 16 states, and with an average of 19 years in education. We are very excited for them to join this group; please help me in congratulating both ladies on this great achievement! With their appointments, there are now a total of 10 National Faculty members from the great state of Texas, with 3 (including Ms.Melanie Younger) from Burnet. What an amazing group of educators you have in your district!
