We are pleased to announce that 38 boys tried out just after Spring Break. We have practice Tuesday - Thursday after school. The boys played their first game this last Monday at Lampasas. We started off with a bang! Hector Vega-Palacios scored a hat trick, and could have scored six if I didn't sit him to give others some playing time. Ricardo Flores led the team in the midfield and got two assists. Marco Campos also added an assist and is very crafty in the midfield. Rodrigo Valdez was physical and has the ability to take on two defenders with his ball handling. Alfredo Jaramillo led the defense and stopped all counter attacks that came his way. In the end, I was able to pull off all of our starters and give boys some playing time, and we unfortunately let one in during the closing minutes. The game ended 3-1 for our first win of the season.
