Students of the Month

BHS Students of the Month: Lainey Rye and Tanner O'Hair

 

Lainey Rye-

Lainey is a smiling fixture in the hallway of Burnet High School. Her bubbly personality, her participation in activities year round, and her determination are hallmarks of her person. Lainey is a member of the varsity volleyball team, the varsity soccer team, SPH and NHS. Her leadership on and off the playing field is one of the things that makes Lainey so special. After high school, Lainey plans to pursue an education degree and become a teacher and soccer coach; her students and student athletes will be lucky to have her. Lainey's love for life, her optimism and honesty, her laughter and her grit all made her an obvious choice for our student of the month. 

 

 

Tanner O'Hair

To see Tanner is to smile. While me may not be smiling on the football or baseball field, in the hallway and in the classroom, he is a happy presence. In athletics and academics, Tanner strives to reach his full potential. Beyond that, Tanner is a proud member of SPH and NHS; he is a leader around campus. After high school, Tanner plans to attend college, study to be a game warden, and possibly play baseball at the university level! Tanner's zest for life, his adventurous spirit, his infectious energy, and his huge heart for people made him an easy choice for our student of the month.
