Off to the Races!

From Coach Roy Kiser:

The Burnet CC teams competed at the district meet today in a cold rain in Lampasas. HUDSON BENNETT is the Varsity Boys District Champion! We haven't had a district champion in CC since 2014, but HUDSON was determined to repeat that feat as he fought off a Liberty Hill challenger in a close race to win his 7th meet in 8 tries in dramatic fashion. ROSE FLORES also had a great meet finishing 6th and earning a trip to the Regional Meet in Corpus along with HUDSON.

Both the boys and girls varsity teams finished 4th, one place out of a regional qualifying spot. Our JV girls team also finished 4th with BRYNN HOLLAND leading the way with a 14th place medal winning effort. Finally, our lone JV boy, EDDIE GRAMLICH improved his time by over :90 seconds today. If you see a CC runner let them know how much you appreciate the way they represented our school district today and all year long. They bought into making CC important again and will have improved success in the future because of their hard work. I would also like to thank a great group of parents for supporting our program. All Burnet results are below and the link to the meet is https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/164772/results.

ROSE will run at 11:00 am and HUDSON will run at 11:20 on Monday, October 28 on the campus of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The address is 700 E. Nile Dr. Corpus Christi, TX 78412.
Thank you and GO BULLDOGS and LADY DAWGS!
