On Tuesday, April 2, members of the Burnet HS and Burnet MS Bands performed in the UIL Region 32 Concert and Sightreading Evaluation at Burnet High School. Each of the four bands (two HS and two MS) earned 1st Division ratings from all the judges!

Shady Grove and Bertram Elementary schools have set April 23rd as the date for Pre-K and Kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year.

There was a packed house in attendance at the March 25th School Board meeting. The crowd came to celebrate the many students that were recognized for participating at the State level or for receiving State level honors.

In preparation for the 2019-2020 school year, the District has been working to finalize plans for the Bulldog Club Afterschool Program. We are excited to announce that the Board of Trustees approved the YMCA of the Highland Lakes to take over the operation and management of the District’s afterschool program.

The R. J. Richey Elementary PTO is hosting their first Spring Carnival on Friday, March 29th. The fun event will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. at the R. J. Elementary Campus.

Earl Foster, BCISD Board Secretary, joined 33 other School Board members from across Texas February 21-23 in Harlingen for the third session of the Leadership TASB class of 2019

Texas state law now provides alternate graduation means for students who did not pass their exit tests (TAKS, TAAS, or TEAMS).

Congratulations to the Burnet One Act Play who competed in Liberty Hill this past week and have advanced to the Bi-District Contest!

Approximately 250 community members attended the State of the Community Luncheon on Wednesday, March 6th. BCISD Superintendent Keith McBurnett and Burnet Mayor Crista Bromley provided the crowd with an overview of the current status of the school district and the community.
