The Dangers of Drugs Emergency department nurse, Linda Dutil from Waterville, Maine, came to talk to BHS students recently about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco and to help them understand the consequences of poor choices.
A Little Kindness goes a Long Way In the past few weeks, sticky note with words of encouragement have been popping up around the transportation department on computer monitors, whiteboards and desks. The notes have also appeared mysteriously on the steering wheels inside the buses.

Community Helpers Up Close Shady Grove Elementary Pre-K students have been learning about our community helpers the past few weeks. The children have learned job titles, responsibilities, and the tools that the community helpers use.
School Board Meeting News The annual October School Board meeting is held at Bertram Elementary. Students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades started the meeting off with a song to welcome the Board and audience to their school.

BHS Students to Construct Mobile Rehab Trailer The Burnet High School Agricultural Mechanics classes have been commissioned by J Bar Sanitary Restrooms to construct a mobile REHAB TRAILER that will be a tool that can be used by the Burnet Fire and Rescue Departments for use during critical situations.
