School Year Calendar Revised The Board of Trustees approved changes to the 2021-2022 school year calendar at the September 20th meeting.
Growing by Leaps and Bounds! The Shady Grove family is expanding, and this year's kindergarten enrollment has continued to climb! As a result, another kindergarten class was added, bringing the campus to a total of nine kindergarten classrooms.
Bertram Ambassadors Embody Sprit, Pride, and Honor Each year at Bertram Elementary, fifth-grade students have the opportunity to serve the school as Bertram Ambassadors. Students are selected based on leadership and citizenship criteria.
Board Provides Substitute Teacher Stipend In an effort to incentivize substitutes to work vacancies, and increase the daily fill rate in classrooms, the Board of Trustees approved a temporary COVID Stipend Pay for Classroom Teacher Substitutes in the amount of $30 on top of the regular substitute pay rate. This stipend will be evaluated each month by reviewing COVID case counts and substitute fill rates.
Board Extends Superintendent's Contract The Burnet CISD Board of Trustees met on September 7 for the annual summative evaluation of the Superintendent. In addition to conducting the evaluation, the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to extend the contract of Superintendent Keith McBurnett through June 30, 2025.

The plan incorporates State guidance and describes local procedures related to health and safety, parent and staff notification, and student support.
Burnet CISD Earns Superior Rating The Texas Education Agency released the financial accountability ratings for school districts on August 6, and Burnet CISD received a Superior rating.
