Steve Williamson, Burnet Store Director, and Amy Vann, Administrative Assistant, delivered a total of 200 lunch bags full of snacks to the staff at Quest High School, Burnet Middle School, and Burnet High School.

On Monday, August 21 the BCISD Board of Trustees voted to reduce its I&S tax rate to 0.24 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the 2017 tax year. This represents a 4 cents decrease from last year for a total tax rate of $1.28.

School Resource Officers Larry Lamb and Brandon Bertelson are ready for the 2017-2018 school year. Officer Lamb will primarily be assigned to Burnet High School. Officer Bertelson will primarily be assigned to Burnet Middle School.

As the school year begins, Burnet CISD wants to take this opportunity to remind everyone to slow down in school zones and stop for school buses loading and unloading.

Accountability Ratings from the Texas Education Agency were released on Monday, August 14. Burnet CISD and all BCISD campuses received a 2017 Accountability Rating of Met Standard.

Phillip Malina was recently recognized by the Board of Trustees for being named to the Texas Association of School Board's Media Honor Roll.

STAAR scores have been released by TEA and hard copies arrived on July 10 after the District was shut down for a week. The District will be mailing STAAR reports by the end of this week, but you don't have to wait to see your child's scores. To view your child’s STAAR scores go to: www.texasassessment.com.
