Due to inclement weather and ongoing concerns for student and staff safety, Burnet CISD will operate on a two-hour delayed start on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Many county roads remain impacted by slush and ice, which are expected to refreeze overnight and create hazardous driving conditions in the early morning hours. The delayed start will allow for additional daylight and improved road conditions before buses and staff are on the roads.
All campuses will open two hours later than normal, and classes will begin on the delayed schedule. Morning routes and campus operations will adjust accordingly.
