Announcing Ginger Kassell - Shady Grove Elementary Principal

“Ms. Kassell brings a strong background in early childhood education, a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, and a commitment to servant leadership,” Superintendent Aaron Peña, Ed.D, said. “Her experience in student behavior, literacy, and numeracy stood out, as did her passion for working alongside staff to build a positive, supportive environment.”

Kassell is returning to Burnet CISD from her current position as Assistant Principal in Llano ISD. She served as a behavior teacher in BCISD from 2017-2018, where she earned ‘Teacher of the Year’ for RJ Richey Elementary. She began her career in education teaching first grade in Georgetown ISD from 2006-2015. We are excited to welcome her back to the Bulldog family.

Kassell completed both her Bachelor of Science, as well as her Master’s in Educational Leadership at Texas State University.
