The Board of Trustees approved a proposed total tax rate of $1.0596 for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year consisting of $0.8646 for Maintenance and Operations (M&O) and $0.195 for Debt Service/Interest and Sinking (I&S), which is approximately 2 cents less than the 2021-2022 tax rate. This will represent the 7th year in a row that the Board of Trustees has approved to lower the tax rate, and Burnet CISD continues to have the second lowest tax rate among area school districts. The Board has set the Public Hearing to discuss the Budget and Proposed Tax Rate for August 29, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
