Board Approves Compensation and Benefits Plan

Additionally, the Board approved 2% Midpoint General Pay Increases for all other staff to include pay grade and market equity adjustments (especially for daytime and nighttime custodians to support recruitment and retention of custodians).

The Board also approved increases to the substitute pay scale.

In addition, the Board approved a one-time lump-sum post-COVID recovery stipend of $1,000 for all exempt staff and $600 for all non-exempt staff.  This one-time payment (above and beyond regular compensation) will be posted in the November paycheck. This is a way for the Board to recognize the extra efforts that will be necessary from our entire organization during the upcoming school year to address achievement and operational gaps caused by COVID last year.

The Board approved a Bus Driver sign-on bonus of $1,000 for a CDL licensed bus driver and $600 for a non-CDL driver obtaining their CDL. This will help to recruit bus driver candidates in response to a statewide shortage of bus drivers.

Finally, the Board approved a $2,000.00 stipend for Foreign Language. This stipend will help to recruit and retain candidates to teach Spanish, which has become a very hard-to-fill teaching position.
