Board Approves Paying Off $1.5M in Debt

The Board of Trustees approved a resolution authorizing the administration to pay off $1.5 million of bonds early. This defeasance will put the District in a position to pay off even more debt in the Spring of 2021, and lower the total debt of the District to below $30 million. The District’s last defeasance was in 2018. Burnet CISD has the second lowest student-debt ratio among area school districts.
