We are thrilled to announce that RJ Richey Elementary achieved an outstanding 94.48% attendance rate for the month of May, 2025. The BCISD Executive Leadership team visited their campus yesterday to present them with their banner. A huge thank you to the dedicated families, students and staff for making it a priority to attend school every day to ensure student success and engagement. August 26 marks the anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. At Burnet CISD, we honor the trailblazers who paved the way and recognize the strength, leadership, and contributions of women in our schools and community. 📢 New this school year: In compliance with Texas House Bill 1481, students may not use personal communication devices (like phones, smartwatches, or earbuds) during the school day. This policy applies to all BCISD campuses, PK–12.

The Board of Trustees met on Monday, August 18 for their regular monthly meeting. Included on the agenda were the approval of the Tax Rate for the 25-26 school year and an amendment to the Student Code of Conduct.

Dr. Olivares brings five years of experience as a DAEP Coordinator, along with a strong background in campus administration. Throughout his career, he has championed academic achievement, positive student behavior, and meaningful connections between schools and their communities.
