Although the Board of Trustees was saddened on a personal level at Mr. McBurnett's retirement announcement, we thank him for his 12 years of service to Burnet CISD and wish him the best in his retirement. We are optimistic about the opportunities the next season will bring to Burnet CISD. 

 

The Board's vision and goals remain the same. We are committed to finding an amazing new leader who will empower our teachers and students and continue to propel us toward academic excellence. 

 

The Board will look to you -- our staff, students, parents, and community -- for input and guidance to develop a profile for the candidates we choose to interview. Be sure to check the website for regular updates.

The Burnet CISD Board of Trustees is seeking input via an online survey on the attributes and qualities that you would like to see in the next superintendent. This is in addition to planned in-person feedback sessions taking place the week of December 4. The 7 question survey is estimated to take less than 5 minutes to complete and all parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to complete the survey. Results will be used by the Board as they build a final profile of the characteristics they are seeking for a future leader.The survey will be available until December 22 at 5:00 p.m. Click HERE to access the survey.

 

 

As part of the superintendent search process, the Board of Trustees is committee to gathering the input of staff, parents, and community members to help inform the profile of the next leader of Burnet CISD. To that end, the Board of Trustees invites parents and community members to attend a superintendent search input session so that you can share the qualifications and characteristics that you believe to be the most important for the next superintendent to possess. Both of the input sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Sherri Bays, the superintendent search consultant. Dr. Bays will compile the feedback and report back to the Board of Trustees.
