The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District's Board of Trustees unanimously voted to extend the term of Superintendent Keith McBurnett’s employment contract by one year to June 30, 2020. McBurnett has been with Burnet CISD since March 2012.
“I love this school district and community, and it is a privilege to serve Burnet CISD as Superintendent. I am fortunate to be a part of a team of dedicated educators who are champions for our children and community,” McBurnett said.
"The Board is very pleased with the progress made by the District under Mr. McBurnett’s leadership. From the District’s financial stability including outstanding compensation and benefits for our employees, to the innovative academic programs we have implemented, the Board continues to believe he is the right person to lead Burnet CISD,” Board of Trustee President Andy Feild said.
This represents the fifth time the Board of Trustees has extended Superintendent McBurnett’s contract.
